Since I finished all my malls in the New York City metro area its time to go to Philadelphia. It seems to be that there are many malls in this area off Philadelphia that are very close to each other; Oxford Valley Mall, Neshaminy Mall, and Philadelphia Mills. I only went because I wanted to get to NYC before it became insanely congested like it wasn’t already and visit one more mall before I went up north. Franklin Mills opened on May 11, 1989 and was developed by the Mills Corporation who also developed Sawgrass Mills and The Shops at Riverside. When the mall opened the anchors were more of a regular mix that you would find at a mall like Holyoke Mall ; they had a JCPenney, Sears, Reading China and Glass, and Phar-Mor which became Boscov’s a few years after opening and became Steve and Barry’s later on. Reading China and Glass closed and became Marshalls abd OfficeMax. Sears left the mall and became a AMC. Later on Office Max left and became a Sears Appliance Outlet. In Marc...
